Qigong? Tai Chi?

So many people ask me about Qigong and Taiji. What are there different? Both Qigong and Taiji (or Tai Chi) are ancient Chinsee practies known for ptomoting health, mindfulness, relaxation and energy cultivation.

Qigong is a large system of energy practices, “Qi” (life force, energy) and “Gong” (practice)- while Tai Chi is one of its forms that focuses on flowing movements. Both are excellent for improving well-being. Both aim to unblock the meridians and harmonize the qi and blood flow. Like my mum and me: I teach Tai Chi, and she teaches Wai Dan Gong. Both are forms of Qigong, but the forms are different.

Qigong is like yoga that requires long-term Practice, focus on breathing, movement and intention.
